African Americans are at higher risk of death from coronavirus. As the novel coronavirus sweeps across the United States, it appears to be infecting and killing black Americans at a disproportionately high rate. Blacks have more existing medical issues, less access to health care, and more likely to work in unstable jobs all factors that have made the coronavirus pandemic disproportionately hurt blacks more.
